The team from one of our STAT Group companies, ION Consulting Engineers, recently attended the official opening ceremony of the new Institute of Technology Centre for the South Coast at Solent University.
The event marked a significant milestone for the university and the wider South Coast region, showcasing a state-of-the-art engineering education facility designed to support the next generation of technical talent. Attendees were given the opportunity to tour the new engineering centre, view live demonstrations, and take part in discussions with teaching staff, alongside keynote speeches and industry panel sessions.
The centre was officially opened by Her Royal Highness Princess Anne, underlining the importance of the project to regional skills development and technical education.
ION played an important role in the delivery of this landmark project, working collaboratively alongside project partners including Peter Marsh Consulting, the Solent University Estates and Project Management team, Francis Construction, FulkersBaileyRussell, and Scott White and Hookins.
The opening of the Institute of Technology Centre represents a major investment in future skills, innovation, and regional growth.
