ION Consulting Engineers Ltd and Lizard Landscape Design & Ecology have both collaborated on the new Ferne Park in Fareham, which has just been completed.
ION were the MEP consultant on the project and Lizard Landscape Design and Ecology helped deliver meaningful biodiversity and landscape outcomes.
Ferne Park transformed a vacant brownfield site into over 107,500 sq ft of Grade A high-tech industrial space with office accommodation, car parking and service yards.
ION and Lizard were part of a project team with HNW Architects where collaboration was key and sustainability and long-term value were embedded throughout.
The project set a new benchmark for sustainability and quality, with a +25% Biodiversity Net Gain, EPC A+ rating and a BREEAM Outstanding score of 92%, placing it in the top 3.2% of industrial schemes in the UK.
